Topic/other curriculum

  • Have a go at the egg floating activity (A fresh egg will sink to the bottom, if it floats to start with it is not fresh to eat)
  • When you have finished, find a recipe to use to make something to eat using your egg. Write up the recipe and share it with us so we can tweet it to your friends so they can make it too.
  • EGGS AS TEETH - Did you know eggs are great for learning about teeth as the shell is made from a similar material? Try soaking it in vinegar, coffee or tea to discover what happens?
  • RE (This will take you 2 weeks) Investigate special places. Think about places that are special to you. Make a special place for your teddy. This week look at how churches are special to Christians and design you own stained glass window (see sheet) Next week look at how mosques are special to Muslims.

30 Days Wild - Finish the last few days in 30 Days Wild in June. Keep an eye on Rocklands Class One’s Twitter feed for a new wild task each day. You can tweet your random acts of wildness and tag @rocklandsclass1 in them, or send me the photos and I can tweet them for you.

You can also watch wildlife videos here.
