As winter is looming, may I remind you of the procedure there is, should it be necessary to close the school. If there is significant snowfall and travel conditions become extremely difficult, then the decision to close the school may be taken. Most staff live a significant distance from the school and it therefore becomes impossible to ensure that sufficient staff can be safely in school before 9am. The decision will be taken as early as possible, most likely before 7am.
Any closure information will be available via local radio announcements and on the Norfolk County Council website for Emergency School Closures: http://disruptions.norfolk.gov.uk/nccclosures_schools.html
THERE IS A LINK ABOVE for emergency school closures.
Let us hope that the weather will be kind this year, as it was last year, when no weather related closures were made.

Rocklands Primary School is a small, happy school with very high standards of behaviour and attainment. As soon as you step into our entrance hall and see our displays, you will see what a vibrant place it is. Staff believe passionately in the value of learning, and we work with parents and governors to impart our enthusiasm to every child in the school. Our children are lucky to be taught in small class groups where they achieve extremely good results. In the 2014 league tables, were once again among the highest achieving schools in Norfolk. Our 2013 data show that Rocklands School has continued to exceed national averages in all subjects at KS1 and KS2. Read our last inspection report. Please contact us on 01953 483369 if you would like an appointment to visit our school.
